MNNIT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The post of Junior Research Fellow is on a contract basis and applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post. It will be for a research project entitled as "Effect Of Boundary Layer Growth On Blast Wave Mitigation Studies Inside The Shock Tube" funded by SERB.

Complete details are as follows :

  • Post Name – Junior Research Fellow
  • Vacancy – 01 Post
  • Project Duration – 02 Years (Appointment will be done on contract basis for one year period)
  • Educational Qualifications - M. Tech in Fluids & Thermal Engineering with 75% marks Or B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 80% Marks and GATE score
  • Desired Qualification - Working knowledge on Computational Fluid Dynamics related computer programming. Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in Gas Dynamics and CED solver writing.
  • Salary – INR 31000+HRA (as per institute norms)
  • Other Benefits – Candidates may be entitled to register for the Ph.D. program of MNNIT. Yearly leaves, Carryover leaves, Medical Benefits, etc. may be available as per the rules applicable for the project staff.

Age Limit :

28 Years as on the last date of application. The upper age relaxation is up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD or Female candidates.

  • The Institute reserves the right to reject applications at any time and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. The qualification and experience may be relaxed at any point of time by the institute for otherwise exceptional candidates.
  • Mere having the prescribed qualification does not mean that the candidate would be called for an Interview. The Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and project requirement
  • Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the specified date with an updated CV, original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates to support their academic qualifications.
  • Due to the Covid-19 situation, the interviews may also be conducted via online mode on MS Teams. Applicants who work in (private, government, or any other organization) are required to submit a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" from the employer at the time of interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview (in case it’s conducted in physical mode)
