IIT BHU Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Advertisement For The Post Of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under CRG, SERB Project.

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at a fixed salary of INR 31000 for the first two years and INR 35000 for 3rd year (as per the DST rules) in the research project entitled “Automatic Map Generation From High-Resolution Images Applying Deep Learning Techniques” undertaken by Department of Civil Engineering, IIT (BHU) Varanasi. This will be a purely temporary post and co-terminus with the project for 3 years duration.

Educational Qualification : 

  • Candidates should hold the first-class M.E./M.Tech degree in Geoinformatics Engineering/Remote Sensing and GIS/ Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent. OR
  • Candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent. He or she must have a minimum of 75% marks or (7.5 CPI) at the bachelor’s degree.
  • In addition the candidate should be GATE/NET qualified or any equivalent national level examinations conducted by the central government departments/agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, IITs, etc.

Desired Qualification : Sound knowledge of any one programming language, deep learning techniques, machine learning, digital image processing.

Age Limit : 28 Years; Age relaxation applicable as per government norms.

Selection Process For IIT BHU Recruitment 2021

This will be an interview-based process. Shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email to appear for the interview. Complete details like date, venue, timings, etc. will be mentioned in the email. It is requested to provide a registered email address and mobile number for further communication regarding the JRF openings.

  • Go to the ‘Positions’ and click on Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Civil Engineering
  • Create a single PDF file of application form having – name, permanent and correspondence address, parent names, mobile or telephone number, valid email address and complete details of educational qualification (starting from higher school or equivalent till the last degree)
  • Upload Scanned copies of research, programming skills, or any other experience, etc. along with self-attested copies of all mark-sheets & certificates.
  • Email at: aohri.civ@iitbhu.ac.in with the subject line “Application for JRF-2021”.
  • In addition, candidates will have to fill and submit the google form: Click Here
  • No need to send any hard copy to IIT, BHU; however, candidates need to show the original documents at the time of interview or joining.
  • Kindly note - Applications of candidates who haven’t filled up the Google form will not be considered for further processing.
  • The starting date for the JRF post was 13 April 2021, and candidates are expected to send the online applications before 04 May 2021.

Note :

  • The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit by qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.

  • No TA or DA will be provided if called for the interview
  • Selected candidates may subsequently register for Ph.D. programme at the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT BHU (provided they fulfill the criteria).
