Eligibility Criteria For ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2021

As discussed earlier, ISI Kolkata has invited applications from eligible graduates for the post of Project Linked Junior Research Fellow. There will be a total of 10 vacancies and it will purely temporary basis in the Technology Innovation HUB(TIH) sponsored by DST (Department of Science And Technology, Government of India, New Delhi. It’s undertaken by the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata on Data Science, Big Data Analytics, and Data Curation. The selected candidates will design basic algorithms for Machine Leaming, Data Science, and Data Analysis with applications to Agricultural science, Health care, Bioinformatics, Medical Data Analysis, Video Surveillance, Social Media Data Analysis, Natural Language Processing & Text analytics, Geoinformatics & Cosmology.

  • Post Name – Project Linked Junior Research Fellow
  • Total Vacancy – 10 Posts
  • Educational Qualification –
  1. M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering Electronics/ Information Technology or M.Sc. in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science.
  2. Sound knowledge in Computer Programming (CIC+/Java/Python) with first class
  • Salary – INR 31000 plus House Rent Allowances as per rules of the institute
  • Tenure of Appointment – The appointment will be initially for one year from the date of joining the institute and it might be extender later or terminated earlier, based on the fund availability and candidates performance.
  • Age Limit – Should not exceed 35 years as on 1st April 2021, with relaxation for reserved categories such as SC / ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to outstanding candidates and candidates with relevant experience as well.

Selection Procedure For ISI Kolkata Recruitment 2021

  • Selection of shortlisted candidates will be done through Written exam and/or online interview by maintaining all preventive measures to stop spreading the COVID-19 Global epidemic.
  • Selected candidates will be communicated about the written exam and/or interview date in due course.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of the desired degree can also apply, provided they can produce their relevant certificates before the written test and/or interview
  • At the time of joining, selected candidates will have to produce all relevant documents/testimonials/NoC letters in original for verification and a fitness medical certificate from the Medical Officer of the institute.
  • If you fail to produce, ISI Kolkata will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepare by the committee.
  • CVs with incomplete information, or without supporting documents will be rejected.
