IIT, Mumbai has released paper-wise GATE cut off 2021 on 20th March for all 27 papers. GATE exam cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam. Candidates who score more than the cut off would be eligible for GATE counselling and admission to top-tier M. Tech/M.E/Ph.D courses across India. However, these institutes or universities will have their own admission cut offs for each specialization or courses.
The GATE 2021 scorecard will also be available for download from 26th March to 31st May 2021. Since this competitive exam is conducted in multiple sessions with various difficulty levels, the normalization method will be used to calculate the GATE score. GATE Scorecard will be issued to only those candidates who score equal to or more than the qualifying cut off for GATE 2021. Other than M. Tech admissions, students who score marks higher than GATE exam cut off are often recruited by Top PSUs in highly paid jobs. As per e-sources, out of the total of 7+ Lakh of candidates who have appeared for the GATE exam only 17% i.e 1, 26,000 were able to clear it.
