CIL Recruitment Through GATE 2021: Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have completed B.E./B. Tech /B.Sc. or M.Sc./M. Tech from the University/Institute recognized by the approved be regular full-time course.
General, OBC, and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category candidates must score a minimum of 60% to qualify. For SC, ST, and People with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, 5% relaxation is given in the qualifying mark of 55%.
The candidate must have completed the degree of minimum eligibility in the academic year 2020-21 or have appeared/appearing in the final semester.
Candidates who have appeared/appearing for the exam for completion of their minimum required qualification shall also be required to achieve the minimum marks.
The final semester results of candidates appearing/appearing in the academic year 2020-21 must be submitted by 30 September 2021. If you’re unable to produce the results your candidature will be rejected without further notice for the applied position/discipline.
The candidate must have cleared all subjects of the final semester, whichever is applicable, in the academic year 2020-21 in a single attempt. He or she should have also cleared all previous /semesters of the date of declaration of final results.
Along with other documents, the candidates of the final semester in the academic year 2020-21 will have to upload their latest semester's mark sheet of relevant minimum education.
Coal India Recruitment 2021: Upper Age Limit
The Upper Age Limit is 30 Years as on 04-August-2021 for General (UR) & EWS category candidates.
Category-wise relaxation in Upper Age Limit is mentioned below:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years
SC / ST – 5 Years
For Persons with Disabilities:
General (UR) – 10 Years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 13 Years
SC / ST – 15 Years
Candidates who are the domicile of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 as per Govt. of India guidelines – 5 Years
Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen category candidates is as per extant Govt. of India guidelines.
Note – The Upper age limit is relaxed subject to the condition that maximum age of the Applicant should not exceed 56 years as on 04 August 2021.
CIL Recruitment Through GATE 2021: Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be placed as CIL Management Trainee in E-2 Grade on the pay scale of INR 50,000 to INR 1, 60,000 with the initial Basic of INR 50,000 per month during the training period.
On successful & satisfactory completion of the 1-year training period and once the candidate passes the test conducted for the purpose, he or she will be promoted to E-3 Grade with a pay scale of INR 60,000 – INR 1,80,000 with the initial Basic of INR 60,000/- on the probation for 1 year, if not extended.
Other than the Basic pay, candidates will be entitled to Dearness Allowance, HRA, perquisites, and allowances under cafeteria approach and other allowances including Performance Related Pay (PRP) as applicable for the post. Benefits such as Leave, Medical facilities, CMPF, CMPS, Gratuity, CIL Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme, etc. will be admissible as per extant rules of the company.
Note - The actual remuneration may vary depending on the place of posting, the financial performance of the Company, and also the performance rating of individuals.
Job Posting
Candidates may be posted anywhere in Subsidiary companies including Coalfield areas. Only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India may apply for the posts.
Service Agreement Bond:
The appointed candidates are required to serve the company for a minimum period of 60 months (five years) from the date of joining the company. The candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond of INR 3 Lakhs (Rupees Three Lakhs) plus GST as applicable for the same at the time of joining.
Medical Examination
Before the appointment, the selected candidates will have to undergo Initial Medical Examination (IME) by the company’s Medical Committee, as per the Medical Attendance Rules of the company. The decision of the Medical Committee will be final and binding. The candidates are advised to go through the CIL's Medical Attendance Rule available on the CIL website. Please ensure that you meet the medical/physical standard to avoid any disappointment in IME.
Coal India Limited Recruitment 2021: Selection Process
The eligible candidates must have appeared for GATE 2021 - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
Based on the GATE-2021 Scores/Marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted discipline-wise, category-wise in a ratio of 1:1.50 for the further selection process.
The final merit list will be prepared for each discipline on the basis of GATE-2021 Scores/Marks.
Please note that for Coal India Management Trainee Recruitment of 2021 (MT-2021) only GATE Scores/Marks of 2021 will only be valid. GATE Score/Marks of 2020 or prior to that is not valid.
Similarly, the final list of selected candidates will be uploaded on the CIL website. Selected candidates will be intimated about Documents Verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME) through CIL website and their registered E-mail Id only. (kindly, provide a valid e-mail ID)
Coal India Vacancy: Application Fee
Candidates who belong to the General (UR) / OBC (Creamy Layer & Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS category will be required to pay a Non-Refundable fee of INR 1000 + GST INR 180 (total INR 1180) SC / ST / PwD candidates / Employees of Coal India Limited and its Subsidiaries are exempted from payment of the application fee. Application fee can be paid through Online mode only and the last day for online submission of application with the fee is 09 September 2021. There will be no other mode for payment of the application fee. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore advised to verify their eligibility before applying for CIL management trainee vacancies. CIL does not seek any other charges/fees except the above mentioned application fee.

Register, pay the application fee, upload all the documents
Review your application and hit the ‘submit’ button
a) Digital/Scanned copy of the recent passport size colour photograph (not older than 3 weeks in jpg/jpeg format).
b) Scanned copy of signature with Black ink pen (in jpg/jpeg format)
c) Scanned copies of the documents (in pdf format), as follows:
Matriculation / Secondary Board level certificate in support of age.
Final / Provisional Degree / Certificate for Graduation and Post-Graduation, as applicable.
Apart from the other required documents, the candidates of final year/semester/ trimester in the academic year 2020-21 will have to upload self-attested copy of their latest year/semester/trimester mark sheet / marks transcript of relevant minimum educational qualification.
Candidates belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC / ST will have to upload the self-attested copy of valid caste certificate in prescribed format.
For PwD category, self-attested copy of the certificate in the prescribed format of Govt. of India duly issued by the competent authority, has to be uploaded.
Candidates who belong to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will have to upload self-attested copy of valid Income & Asset certificate issued by the competent authority as per OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.19 of DoPT, Ministry of PPG &P, Govt. of India.
Discharge / Service Certificate in case of Ex-Servicemen.
Certificate issued in the prescribed format by the competent authority in respect of J&K domicile.
Candidates presently employed in Government / Semi-Govt. / Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous body should submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Competent Authority of their present employer as per point no. 11(v) of this advertisement.
iii. Candidate can submit the online application for one discipline (post) only.
iv. If more than one application is received from a candidate, the most recent (current) application will be considered as final.
