GATE is one of the most promising competitive exams in India. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Kharagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE of Education Ministry’s Higher Education Department.
The Indian Institute Of Technology – IIT Kharagpur has released the GATE 2022 notification on the official website – gate.iitkgp.ac.in. IIT Kharagpur will now release the GATE 2022 application form on August 30 on the official site. GATE Application Form: Important Points To Remember
Candidates should consider the following points at the time of GATE Online Registration:
GATE Application Form 2022 Website – Candidates will be able to download and fill the application form for the GATE 2022 Exam on the official website - gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
GATE Registration Dates 2022 - The application form for the GATE 2022 will be available on the official site from August 30 to September 24, 2021. Also, the GATE 2022 application form will be available for an extended period with an additional fee of INR 500 from September 25 to October 1, 2021.
Any incorrect or incomplete application will be displayed on October 26, 2021, and candidates can rectify the errors till November 1, 2021. Candidates can also make changes in paper, category, and exam city by November 12 with an additional fee payment.
Documents Required To Fill GATE Application Form 2022
The following documents are required to be handy with at the time of GATE Registration:
Personal Information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' name, parents' mobile number, etc.)
Address for Communication (including PIN code)
Eligibility degree details
College name and address with correct PIN code
Choice Of GATE papers
Three preferred choices of GATE examination cities
High-quality image of candidate's photograph conforming to the requirements specified
Good quality image of candidate's signature conforming to the requirements specified
Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format
Scanned copy of Certificate of Dyslexia (if applicable) in pdf format
Scanned copy of any one of the valid photo Identity Document: Aadhaar-UID (preferable), Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID and Driving License. The same ID, in original, must be carried to the examination hall
Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI details for fee payment
Two Papers In GATE 2022
Candidates who wish to appear in two GATE 2022 subject papers should have a primary choice of papers as their default choice. The second choice of GATE paper can be chosen from the given combinations. Combination papers cannot be assumed or created on your own. However, there is a list of combination papers available on the GATE website and you can create your lists amongst them. GATE 2022 Application Fee – Candidates can pay the application fee for the GATE 2022 through the official website. Candidates can make the fee payment through net banking, debit card/credit card/UPI mode. The fee per GATE 2022 subject is given below, for two papers the amount of fee will be double compared to a single paper.

IIT Kharagpur has announced that the GATE 2022 will have the addition of two new subjects and from next year there will be a total of 29 papers/subjects. The two newly introduced subjects would be Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (Combined) And Geomatics Engineering (GE).
GATE Exam Pattern 2022
The mode of GATE 2022 will be Computer Based Test (CBT) and the duration will be for 180 minutes.
There will be a total of 29 subjects/papers for GATE 2022
There will be two sections – General Aptitude (GA) and Selected Subject
Type of Questions - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions
Number Of Questions - There will be a total of 65 questions in which 10 would be from General Aptitude (GA) while the remaining 55 will be from the subject chosen by the candidates

GATE 2022 exam will be conducted on 5, 6, 12, and 13 February 2022. Candidates will be able to download the admit cards for the examination from January 3, 2022. GATE 2022 results will be announced in March 2022.
