How To Calculate The Score Using The GATE 2022 Answer Key?
To calculate the score using the GATE 2022 Answer key you can follow the steps given below. Calculate the total number of right answers and allocate the marks. And then calculate the overall marks.
Firstly, you will have to tally the total negative marks for the wrong attempt. (Remember only Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will have negative marking. There will be no negative marking for NAT questions).
You have to do the calculation like:
MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
Total marks (1 mark) = 1 x no. of correct attempts – 1/3 x no. of wrong attempts
Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct attempts – 2/3 x number of wrong attempts
NAT Marks: Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
Your Formula To Calculate: Total marks = Total marks secured for correct response – Negative marks for wrong response.
How To Challenge The GATE 2022 Answer Key?

Visit the official site of GOAPS
Open the “Contest Answer Key” Tab
You will then be redirected to the payment gateway
For Indian candidates, you will have to make the payment of ₹ 500 and for NRIs, it will be the US $ 10. The payment has to be done through online mode
Once the payment is done, you will have to enter the question number you want to challenge
You will also have to provide the right justification or say debate for the contest (max 500 characters)
Also, you will have to attach the necessary supporting documents in the prescribed format, before you hit the submit button of the objection raised.
It’s advisable to check the question serial number mentioned on the official question paper released on the website when you challenge the GATE official Answer Key 2022. Besides, you should specify the section name and question number in the supporting documents before you upload the documents.
How To Check GATE 2022 Response Sheet?
GATE response sheet 2022 was released on 15 February 2022 through online mode by the authorities. You can check it using the following steps:-
Login to the GOAPS Portal
Click on the “View Response Sheet” button on the screen and check your sheet
You will be able to see the responses on the screen
Save your score sheet in the PDF format and raise an objection if required
