Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has released the official notification of GATE 2022 on August 1, 2021, on the official website. The candidates can download the notification from the official site or follow our latest blogs to get a complete idea of the GATE 2022 Exam. Along with the notification all the GATE exam dates have been released. The authorities will start the GATE 2022 application process from August 30, 2021. GATE Registration
The GATE 2022 application form will be available on the official site from August 30 to September 24, 2021. Also, the GATE application form will be available for an extended period with an additional fee of INR 500 from September 25 to October 1, 2021.

GATE 2022 Exam: Major Changes
From the next year, two new subjects are added by IIT Kharagpur, thereby taking the total of subjects/papers to 29. Two new subject papers namely - Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM) and Geomatics Engineering (GE) have been added for GATE 2022. IIT Kharagpur has expanded the GATE eligibility criteria 2022 as well. As per the revised GATE 2022 eligibility criteria, even BDS and M. Pharma candidates can appear for the GATE exam 2022.
GATE 2022 Exam: An Overview
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission to postgraduate courses in the participating institutes. GATE exam is conducted every year to evaluate the knowledge and understanding of candidates in various undergraduate subjects of Engineering/Architecture/Technology and Science Subjects for postgraduate level.
Why GATE Exam?
The examination is conducted for admissions to Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Engineering/Architecture/ Technology and various branches of Science.
Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in India also select candidates to offer jobs on the basis of GATE scores. Some of the top Indian PSU lists include - BHEL, HPCL, IOCL, CIL, PGCIL, GAIL, NTPC, and more.
With the desired GATE score, financial assistance in the form of Scholarships is also provided by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other Governments. Such candidates are also entitled to a scholarship of INR 12,400 per month until the completion of the two-year course.
