GATE 2021 Instrumentation Engineering was conducted in the morning session of 06 February 2021. The exam started at 9.30 am and concluded at 12:30 PM. Instrumentation question paper had a total number of 65 questions, and the paper was divided into two sections i.e General Aptitude and Instrumentation Engineering (subject). The instrumentation paper was easy to moderate in terms of the difficulty level. There were only 4 MSQs while the number of NAT was 30. Steps To Challenge GATE 2021 IN Answer Key:
Log into the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS)
Go through the guidelines given carefully
Agree by clicking on the declaration
Click on the “Contest Answer Key" tab to be able to pay and mail objections related to the answer.
Pay INR 500 via an online portal provided for every question. NRI candidates will need to pay US $10 per question being challenged.
Use the correct question number given in the question paper to challenge.
Attach a justified proof for challenging the answer key.
Step To Calculate GATE Score using IN answer key:
Calculate the marks obtained in the correct answers & subtract the marks lost in incorrect answers due to negative marking.
The numerical questions have no negative marking.
GATE Score = Marks obtained for MCQs + Marks obtained for NAT questions
MCQ Marks: Total marks (1 marks) + Total marks (2 marks)
Total marks (1 marks) = 1 x number of correct answers – 1/3 x number of wrong answers
Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct answers – 2/3 x number of wrong answers
NAT Marks: Total marks (1 marks) + Total marks (2 marks)
GATE Instrumentation Cutoff
GATE Participating Institutes (IITs, NITs and other colleges) will declare their separate GATE cutoffs.
GATE Cutoffs will be separate for qualifying the exam and for the admissions.
Since no common GATE counselling is held, each participating institute determine cut off to shortlist candidates for admissions.
