About the University
The Tezpur University was established in 1994 at Tezpur, Assam. The University is a central university with 21 academic departments with 433 affiliated colleges and 232 research institutions. The affiliated colleges, departments, and research institutes are all based primarily in Pune.
The Tezpur University Engineering campus is spread over 262 acres at Napaam, about 15 kilometers east of Tezpur. It has mainly four schools of studies namely: School of Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Management Sciences, School of Engineering.
The vision of Tezpur University is to develop human excellence and inculcate leadership through hard work and creativity.
The Tezpur University Engineering has its mission to offer employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the local and regional aspirations to meet the development needs of the state and promote research in areas of Science and Technology which are of special and direct relevance to the region.
Courses offered by the Tezpur University
The Tezpur University Engineering offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Arts, Commerce, Technology, Social Work, Mass Media and Communication, Management, Architecture, and Agriculture in many different languages.
Apart from the above regular courses mentioned above, Tezpur University Engineering also has courses in Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Politics, and Law, etc. The University also offers courses on Biotechnology, Cultural Studies, Foreign Languages, Disaster Management, etc. When it comes to technical courses, the University offers B.Tech course in the following streams:
