About Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
Grown out of the work of the great personality, Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan, the eminent Muslim reformer and statesman, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is one of the oldest Universities of the country. The University is located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh- 202001. The University was initially established by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan as Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. It was in 1920 that the college was transformed into Aligarh Muslim University. This historical, educational institution had a significant role to play in the history of India. Since its inception, the famous historical, educational institution has held its doors open to students of every community and from each and every corner of the world.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has more than 300 courses to offer to students that includes both traditional as well as modern branches of education. Spread over an area of 467.6 hectares of land, the University holds the 8th position among the top 20 research universities in India. 2. How to apply for Engineering in AMU University?
The admission for B. Tech will be based on entrance exam AMUEEE followed by a counselling session and interview conducted by AMU. A merit list will be uploaded by AMU as per the performance and qualified candidates of AMUEEE will be called for counselling and interview. 3. What are the eligibility criteria for engineering?
AMU offers full-time B.E / B. Tech in various disciplines at UG level.
