Types of Terrain
Plain Terrain
The area of a country having a cross slope varying from 0% to 10% is known as plan terrain.
Rolling Terrain
The area of a country having cross slope varying from 10% to 25% is known as rolling terrain.
Mountainous Terrain
The area of the country having a slope varying from 25% to 60% is known as mountainous terrain.
Steep Terrain
Steep Terrain means a grass seed or cereal grain field defined by Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) and percent slope, as identified by the Director of Agriculture.The area of a country having a cross slope greater than 60% is called steep terrain.
