Prof.Pooja Lokhande, faculty, Dept of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras is known for her remarkable achievements and has played a pivotal role in empowering other women too. During her academic career, she has had several sponsored projects under her name and has more than 50 articles published in peer-reviewed international journals. As a passionate teacher in the Dept of Electrical Engineering, she teaches Design, Management and Auditing of Electrical Systems Her unique methodology and practical approach to teaching using innovative tools and material help students at IIT madras understand the practical usage of concepts. Apart from her academic interest, she is equally passionate about running and fitness. She has organized numerous marathons between 2012-2015, making running accessible and breaking numerous barriers for Women runners. Acknowledging her achievements in teaching and research.
